TV I'm enjoying
Green Lantern the Animated series. The first couple episodes of this really felt aimed at the younger set, but the show really got going after awhile. The entire 13 episodes or so, tie in together as one nice arc. And as Green Lantern stories go, it's very entertaining. Razor and Ia tend to be my fovorites, but that's as it should be. Hal actually works best when he is a supporting character in his own series, and while he has a couple episodes that really harken back to the 60s Green Lantern stories in my Dad's old comic box that I fell in love with the character from, It's probably the Razor arc I really enjoyed most. 1st season just ended this past Saturday.
Young Justice: Invasion. YJ does a bold move in their second season, they jump ahead 5 years, change up the characters and the team and leave 1st season viewers scratching their heads wondering: "What the hell just happened?".
YJ season 2 is the DCU at it's best, I wish, very much wish that the recent New 52 DCU reboot in the comics was anywhere near this well thought out or bold in reconstructing the DC universe. While there are only a handful of episodes left, and the series won't be back for a 3rd season. It was a great ride while it lasted and should become a favorite of future fans once it hits the streams and DVDs in it's entirety.
Game of Thrones Season 2. This is the sort of show that only only HBO can make. A vast cast, many locations, plots and subplots. Really really great TV. We recently almost caught up last week with a 3 episode mini marathon. Currently we are one episode behind, but likely we'll binge on last week's and this week's tonight.
Game of Thrones is the sortof TV that makes you hate movies, because so few movies can do in their two hours what a show like this can do over a season. Good Stuff.
